Are you ready to play Roller Derby?

A person wearing a helmet, mouth guard, elbow pads, wrist guards, knee pads, water bottle, roller skates, and sporting attire standing on roller skates, with labels pointing to each item.

Safety First! Do you have the right gear?

We require all of our skaters to be in full gear when attending clinics, practices and games. Not all gear is created equal. Please see notes below to make sure you have the right gear!

Helmet

Helmets must be rated for multiple impact. The rating sticker can be found inside of the helmet and should read “ASTM”.

Mouth Guard

Only moldable mouthguards are acceptable. Skaters should be able to talk and drink without their mouth guards moving.

Elbow Pads

Bicycle pads are not recommended, but will work. Skateboarding / Derby pads are recommended.

Wrist Guards

Most wrist guards will do, however many skaters prefer a derby-style wrist guard.

Knee Pads

Bicycle pads are not recommended, but will work. Skateboarding / Derby pads are recommended.

Derby Skates

Inline skates are not allowed, and artistic, or healed boots are not recommended. Skaters perform best in a flat, low cut boot. Toe stops should be adjustable.

In addition, water bottles are required at every practice / clinic.
